Privacy policy

What this site collects

This site is a set of static pages hosted on IONOS. Like every web server, it records standard log data for each request: your IP address, the page you asked for, the date and time, your browser and operating system, and the page that linked you here. IONOS keeps these logs for a limited time for security and troubleshooting. I don't use them to identify anyone.

The site sets no cookies of its own, and its fonts are served from this site. The Meta Pixel, described below, is the one exception to that rule.

Release pages show a preview image where a video would be. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. When you do, the video plays through youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, and Google's privacy policy (opens in a new tab) applies to that playback.

Email list

If you sign up for new releases and show dates, your email address goes to Mailchimp, which stores the list and sends the emails. I use the list only for music news, a few times a year, and I never sell or share it. Mailchimp records whether each email is opened and which links are clicked.

Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect right away. Mailchimp's privacy statement (opens in a new tab) covers how it handles your data.

Analytics and advertising pixels

The site runs the Meta Pixel (Facebook), which reports each page view to Meta. I use it to measure interest in music releases and to reach people with posts and ads about them. Meta may set cookies and connect the visit to a Facebook or Instagram account. The site runs no other analytics or tracking.

You can limit this in your Meta ad preferences (opens in a new tab), or with a browser or extension that blocks third-party trackers. The site works the same either way. Meta's privacy policy (opens in a new tab) has the details.

Contact form

The contact form sends your name, email address, company or venue if you give one, and your message by email to one of two inboxes, based on the topic you pick. Advisory and consulting messages go to frank@tenmilesquare.com. Booking, music, and everything else go to info@frankoelschlager.com.

The site keeps no copy of what you send. I use your details only to reply to you.

Your choices

You can leave the email list at any time with the unsubscribe link in any email. To ask what I hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, email info@frankoelschlager.com. I'll respond within 30 days.

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
